All of these attempts to stop global warming have not had the desired effects, resulting in rising sea levels that will in the future flood coastal areas and Islands, affecting millions of people; climate change that has amplified extreme weather events such as hurricanes and droughts, threatening food safety and infrastructure, even rising temperatures that have led to the extinction of some species of plants and animals, disrupting ecological balance and reducing biodiversity.
