The Paris Agreement aims to strengthen global socioeconomic resilience against the danger of climate change in the post-2020 period. It is to keep the global temperature increase below 2°C as much as possible compared to the pre-industrialization period. It requires gradually reducing the use of fossil fuels and turning to renewable energy. The most important feature of the Agreement is that, unlike the Kyoto Protocol, developed and developing countries participate in mitigation action with NDC.
