Even though the threats posed by AI development should not be underestimated, it's worth reminding ourselves that we are in full control of such development. As mentioned by the American technology ethicist Tristan Harris in "The A.I. Dilemma" documentary, AI can be compared to nuclear technology: it's up to humankind to decide how to use such a powerful tool. States were able to regulate the use of nuclear power, avoiding a nuclear war. The same should happen, metaphorically, in the AI field.
