Selected claim, opposing its parent
If a jurisdiction forbids such harmless act as operating a stake pool, the jurisdiction should be fought, not accomodated
Pros
Cons
Con claim 1
Fighting may be the right thing, but your activity would still be illegal. Therefore compliance with regulation would help keep the pool in operation. Regulation doesn't mean everything is bad, it is needed for mass adoption.
Con claim 2
This assumes the only use of contingent staking is compliance. It is also a tool to enable current behaviors like ispo and community token pools to have a formal structures. In part so they don't just steal rewards from people who mistakenly delegate.
Con claim 3
Contingent staking is neutral to the stance of the pool operator and is a tool that could be used both for and against any regulation.
Con claim 4
Contingent Staking does not prevent pool operators or delegators from resisting hostile jurisdictions,

My neighborhood has a rule that no one’s grass can be taller than six inches. According to your argument, you don’t like neighborhood rules at all, regardless of what they are, so I should not be allowed to have a lawn mower that enables me to cut the grass in my yard so I can comply. But no one is forcing either you, or me, to live in my neighborhood. Why should you be allowed to prohibit me from complying with the rules where *I choose* to live, when my choice does not affect you at all?
