Selected claim, opposing its parent
Contingent Staking will expand the government's reach excessively.

Con claim 1
Contingent staking is completely orthogonal to government reach. Provide one example where the omission of a technological capability limited government reach. That would be like saying, “Sorry government, all my files are encrypted with my key, so you can’t have them.” The government doesn’t care what kind of technology you are using. You still have to obey the law. Maybe that sucks but CS has zero effect on government regulation whether or not it is added to the protocol. So why not add it?
Con claim 2
“Reach” is only as far as any jurisdiction and not a concern to the L1. Cardano should focus development on where it wants to be and not which governments it should fit to. Model the L1 to capability and not to politics.
