CS neither “opens the door” for regulation nor closes it. Regulation happens INDEPENDENTLY from any protocol; Cardano. Bitcoin. Or any other. Legislation does not care what a protocol can or can not do. Omitting CS will not help or fix the problem of bad legislation in any way whatsoever. But omitting CS will likely limit the number of countries where people can stake legally.

Pro claim 1

People need to understand that regulation and good tech are two separate fights, you cannot compromise the tech just because of bad legislation, it is a separate fight. Be aware that this divide in the community could actually be another divide strategy by bad actors, since they cannot attack the protocol itself, they MUST divide the community to weaken it.
